Jen's Friends Philosophy:

In accomplishing our mission, we are guided by the following principles and beliefs. We:

  • Recognize that all persons diagnosed with cancer can be empowered to maintain a sense of normalcy and focus on healing. We provide financial and human resources to assist clients and families while they are battling cancer.

  • Raise and disburse funds that are used for direct client-based needs.

  • Promote and foster partnerships with other community-based groups. We participate in community events and promotions in order to build awareness of our mission.

2023 Charity: Rosie's Place in Boston, MA

Thank you Attendees, Speakers and Sponsors!

UPDATE: We raised $3,000 for Rosie's Place! Thank you so much to everyone who donated items and purchased raffle tickets! Your generosity will go a very long way with this charity!

A representative from Rosie’s Place sent these kind words, and the video below, to us after learning what the total donation amount would be:

“A donation of that amount will allow Rosie's Place to support a week of services with our Recovery Support Navigator and Clinical Social Worker for 60 women to receive assistance related to substance use disorders and mental health challenges.  We are so grateful to have friends like you in the community!”

Rosie's Place - Boston

More than a shelter…a second chance.

On Easter Sunday 1974, Rosie’s Place was founded as the first shelter for women in the country.

We created a sanctuary of hope, a place where every woman was welcomed. Listened to. Understood. Loved.

Rosie's Place is a multi-service community center that offers women emergency shelter and meals, and so much more: a food pantry, ESOL classes, legal assistance, wellness care, one-on-one support, housing and job search services, and community outreach. Here women will find support, opportunity and the tools they need to make a new start.

Because we accept no government funding, we rely on our many friends to make all we do possible. Thanks to their generosity, we can remain a safety net for women struggling to survive during these difficult days. Please join us in our life-changing work!
