The New England Payroll Conference Education grant was established to honor the individuals whose vision, dedication, and service made the conference possible. Their commitment to education, collaboration, and the payroll profession created a lasting legacy that continues to inspire and support payroll professionals across the region. Through this grant, we remember their contributions and carry forward their passion by investing in the future of our profession.

The purpose of the Grant is to recognize individuals dedicated to the payroll profession through education, volunteering and support of PayrollOrg through local and national involvement.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of work experience in the payroll field
  • Completed application
  • Former recipients are not eligible for three years after receiving the award
  • NEPC Board and Committee members are not eligible 


Education Grant Includes:

  • Registration for the 2026 NEPC conference
  • Two nights hotel stay
  • One year membership to a local chapter of your choice (if already a member, this will extend the current membership)
  • Local Chapter webinar certificate
  • Grant is Nontransferable


Grant Criteria:

10 Points – Letter of recommendation
Signed and in PDF specifically addressing why the applicant is a worthy candidate for this grant. Please ensure the letter is no more than 2 years old. 

25 Points – Educational achievements
What have you done to expand your payroll knowledge? Professional certifications, training courses, future goals for professional development.

25 Points - Professional Accomplishments
Projects as a lead or team member that have delivered cost savings, efficiencies, productivity improvements and/or overall improvements for your job, department or organization.

20 Points - Personal Accomplishments
Teaching payroll education within the community, mentoring within your organization or community, PayrollOrg engagement at a National or Local level, volunteer work (does not need to be payroll related).

20 Points - Personal Essay
If awarded the education Grant, describe how it would help you in the advancement of your professional career.

This memorial grant honors those individuals by recognizing their enduring impact on the payroll profession and by extending opportunities to future attendees who will benefit from the foundation they so thoughtfully created.
